Many Great Wonderful Changes!!!

We have made many wonderful updates and need your feedback. The updates are related to the updated topographic information that we optained from our March trip. We are very excited and continuing to press forward as this new information set our schedule back. The main changes are the relocation of the cafeteria and dormatories. Wyn Miller is currently working on the site specific landscaping and how the paths relate to the current building design. Elevations and perspectives are to come soon as other work is achomplished. Please comment and I will answer any questions. Buildings are looking like wonderful places to study and communicate education!

USGBC Project Haiti

I didn't realize that US Green Building Council is doing an orphanage in Del Mas, Rue Fernand de Baudiere, in Port au Prince, Haiti. They are building a "green standard project" and they recently had a design charrette to get the project moving forward.

Programatic Stage Development

We will remain in our same teams for the next segment of the project, which will last 2 weeks. This segment will focus on further development of the programming components of the project. We will be using the winning design scheme as a guide to develop the “ghost” plan. The winning team will be meeting with Chris King to fine tune their overall plan as soon as possible. This will then be distributed to all the other teams as a location reference to begin designing the assigned programmatic components. Each team will need to pick a team leader who will be in contact with the Site Layout Team (the winning design).
